With snow flakes falling and the conditions deteriorating the stage was set for a mid morning BOX ALARM for reported HOUSE ON FIRE in the 1100 blk. of Owen Pl. N.E. ENGINE Co. 10 arrived on location to find a two story, ordinary, middle of the row, apartment building with SMOKE SHOWING from the second floor of Side Alpha and FIRE SHOWING from Side Charlie. THE DIME quickly located a fire in the rear of an upstairs apartment and had it knocked down yet again before most of the units were on the scene. Due to TRUCK Co. 13 being out of position they were not alerted on the alarm until the Working Fire Dispatch. With the fire quickly knocked down and the extension under control the assignment was scaled back and units were returned. This was the second fire in ENGINE Co. 10s Local Alarm area in less than 24 hours. Again keeping pace with the name THE HOUSE OF PAIN.
